PRE-DEBUT
excited.. ended up snoozin @ 4 am sat & wakin up @ 6 to prep.. tita connie amazingly finished my hair after 1½.. jux as she was about to put my make-up, doña ramirez (mother) pushed me aside & had herself ("what do u call it, anak? evolve?" no mom!) made over.. she wanted her hair, dress, & nails like mine.. she even took my bra & gloves! uh, mom. is this ur debut? hehe jk.. my dad, aunts, uncles, cousins, brothers were busy w/ last min errands & prep.. tito ted took a trillion pix/video of me @ home.. got dressed & was escorted 2 da company suv by mr. justin.. "breathe, michelle".. @ hotel peeps gawkin, whistlin & yellin congrats cuz they thought justin & i got married (yuck! he's my cousin for pete's sake).. entered lobby where i found my beautiful cotillion..(aww, u guys look gorgeous) last min practice.. tony again changed formation.. they got angry but didn't show it (thnx 4 not arguin w/ him).. hid in laundry room w/ baker, ryan, nero, & josh.. chee, prayed over me (surprise!), ryan & rochelle & ramon did nothin but look darling, andrea kept kissin me, tin & ben reassured me, trish & nice remained calm, benjamin was equipped w/ his scholastic brain teasers, bakers gave me a pep talk, mj helped me breathe, jana smiles & i smile back, justin tried to make me laugh altho he had his own probs, yuri & ivan were jux hillarious, jon & jess livenin up the crowd, joe kept takin freakin solo pix of me.. it's show time!..
PRELUDE
entourage w/ my white dress that has a train on the back.. *smile, smile* aww, cheeks are hurtin.. mom-dad dance.. dad-daughter dance.. papa got confused cuz tony gave him new steps.. aww, booger! i told him to smile & look pretty *ahem* i mean, handsome, i'll lead, & no one will notice.. dinner served.. got nervous cuz pryncessa & clarissa are no where in sight, i couldn't find patty.. they're my openin #.. poof! as if descending from da heavens, a petite figure arrives (bob!).. mom & dad, in disbelief of how beautiful her voice sounds, thought she was jux lip singin (it's a compliment).. clarissa sang one of my faves but b4 she did she gave me a wonderful advice "be tru to urself & trust in the Lord always".. i will, ate!.. arlene played flute (shepherd me, o God).. nice remembrance of the sacristy.. =).. rochelle's hawaiin dance.. she was so adorable.. when she was movin her hips, they seemed dislocated (that's how good she was).. cousin ivie played piano.. sensational! she's gettin better & better.. spotted patty gettin ready 4 da slideshow.. technical difficulties (no plug, no table, forgot music).. luckily, we took plug from keyboard, table 4rm kitchen, & i burned 2 copies of the slideshow & music.. phew!.. waiters didn't listen when i asked politely to turn off the lights.. so i did it myself..
THE FUN BEGINS
18 candles.. my beloved female family & friends lit (my titas, ate theresa, my friends' moms) a candle on the table & gave me a b-day wish.. the finale was mame in a wheelchair pushed by my aunt.. she made me cry inside cuz she kept sayin that she loves me.. i love u, grandma!.. 18 roses.. got to dance w/ my cousins, uncles, teachers, fr. albert, & paul.. it was the best except 4 the part when my zipper was ½ way down.. aahh!! how embarassing.. dr. reitzell wanted to spin me some more but i couldn't afford it.. i was gonna be naked in like 2 sec or somethin.. now, josh was the highlight of this event.. i spinned him once cuz he likes to be spun.. then when his turn was over & i was leadin him out, he thought i was spinnin him again, and again, and again.. too cute, baby!
GRAND COTILLION
gee golly willickers.. they announced our dance but i was still wearin my white gown.. mom stopped kuya & had me rush to the room to change into my pretty lilac dress to match them.. 15..14..13..3..2..1 (aah! can't this elevator go any faster?) door opens.. mom sighs.. i ran.. oh ya, this is it!.. we pyched ourselves out.. performed w/ utmost gracefulness & presentation.. boy, were they good!.. i told myself to just enjoy & if things don't go right, it's ok.. i was highly impressed w/ their performance.. i love my cotillion.. they were so good.. special props to ryan & justin.. sorry if i stepped on both ur feet..
FINALE
18 treasures.. all my friends were present & gave me somethin really meaningful to them.. thnx, buddies.. what u said that night & the thought u've given me are engraved in my heart.. the things u have given are miniscule compared to the lifelong friendship u have offered me.. i love u guys.. (thnx to rose, colin, & jan for postponin ur flights, iSkiTtLeS 4 the surprise, & sorry to shenna 4 not callin u up..i'm really really sorry shenna....i wanna make it up to u).. cuttin of the cake.. dad kissed mom.. eww!..hehe jk.. acknowledgment.. reason, season, lifetine.. "somethin" "wazzap" "ate, u're generous" "i love u ate, u're cute.".. everyone left the dance floor, i was the last one when the RESPECT song came on..uh oh! what to do?.. hmmm.. i figured, i should go all out & strutt my stuff since i didn't have a special presentation for them.. oh yes, that's right! i danced like a fool.. i'm so glad justin jumped in & "battled" (if that's how u wanna look @ it).. i pulled in a grip of people to dance.. mai mai was the 1st victim, then tita lina, & the list goes on..
IT'S GETTIN HOT IN HERE
par-tay time.. people were on the dance floor gettin their groove on.. thas roite!.. my cousins were just standin there look so i decided to bring them in somewhat forcefully.. it worked.. ricky was gettin all freaky, i obviously applied my "3-feet rule", & my classmates thought he was my bf .. another yuck! (all the guys @ my debut are my cousins, man!).. funny how my cousins & classmates ended up checkin each other out.. =P too cute man.. let me know the juicy 411.. chris, jerrome, juttin, & their other friend came.. kinda late there, buddy! they were roamin round burbank till 1 am.. sorry guys! my bad!
I'm going to stop procrastinating ... once I get around to it.
